I tried braiding my hair today for the first time! I've got to admit - this is what I love about wearing my natural hair. Its so much fun playing around with it.

My favourite trends this spring / summer

The era we're living in sees us going back to trends that were there before some of us were even born.Its a great time for fashion!

These are some of my favourite trends this spring/summer:

1)MONOCHROME-
Im sure most of you have been hearing this word being thrown around.Its simply putting together two contrasting colours.Simply black and white.This trend looks good in just about any style.

2) GLADIATORS- Gladiator sandals have made a come back.They made an appearance in 2009/2010 and decided they weren't done just yet in 2013.
They are perfect for summer.

3) WHITE TUXEDO JACKET - The love I have for these! Although  you may not wear it in the scorching heat, you can throw it over on those cool nights out.

4) SPLIT FRONT SKIRT- This looks great whether its a pencil skirt or maxi skirt. I remember this trend in those music videos from way back. When TLC and Destiny's child was still hot (^^,)

5) Lastly-
BRAIDS! You can do this look with your natural hair and extensions. It can be rocked whether you dress up or down.If you arent a fan of hair in your face especially in the summer , this look is for you.

You gotta love a good weave.

You have to appreciate a good weave. And the variety can be so exciting.

Those who know me personally would know that I prefer to keep everything as natural looking as possible. My hair too.So you'll never see me in something too dramatic.

Now that its spring, everybody is coming out to play and we all know you cant do that if your hair aint right!

I love high-tops!!!

As much as I love heels and I've got plenty, I love my high tops too!

The suede and the blue/bage details gives it that "wow factor". Sneakers look best in neutral soft colours. Or maybe I'm just not a fan of brights?!

Cant wait to rock these!♡♡

DURBAN FASHION FAIR

On Saturday, 24th August 2013, I went to the Durban Fashion Fair and was lucky enough to catch the David Tlale Menswear fashion at the City Hall.Right outside! In a park!

I knew David Tlale was dramatic and over the top but this was so new to me.He made an astonishing entrance on a motorbike getting his audience "revved up" for what was about to follow.

The collection was fantastic! A mixture of bold,brightly coloured suits to more fashion forward clothing and there were outfits for the guy who likes to keep it simple as well.Very well thought out.

Ofcourse he had to end it off with his Muse,Tatum(Former Miss SA).The only women and she stole the show!

I wouldn't dare  miss another David Tlale show!

AND I...was a muse for Zarth Designs for the show. I love this designer! And her clothes fit me like a glove!
